The Cantonment has provided street light all over the Cantonment Areas. The total No. Of street Lights are 1911, which can be segregated as

• 70 watt Sodium Vapor lamps=596 Nos
• 150watt Sodium Vapor lamps=1090Nos
• T-5 fittings=25 Nos

Operation and maintenance of Street lights:

The operation and maintenance of street lights in the cantonment areas is allotted on a contract basis for a period of one year.

This year the contractor engaged for the said work is M/s. Shiv Shambho Electricals, Karad.

Future planning

This office intends to provide street lights to each nook and corner of the Cantt.Areas. Moreover at present the supply to each pole is to through service wires, it is intended to supply electricity to each pole through underground passage of cables.
